John Attaway’s Legacy Lives on at Annual MBA Award Ceremony

Three graduating MBA students were honored with awards at the annual Dr. John D. Attaway Award Reception.

In 1956, Attaway became the first African American man to graduate from Babson when he earned his MBA. His accomplishments served as an inspiration for the Dr. John D. Attaway Award, “which recognizes black MBA students who demonstrate scholarship, leadership, and service to the Babson community.”

This was the third year a member of Attaway’s family presented the awards to graduating MBA students in his honor.

  • Recognition Award Winner: Sherene Shenouda MBA’19
  • Pioneer Award Winner: Paula François MBA’19
