VIDEO: Celebrating the Class of 2020

Listen

It was a homecoming like no other for the Class of 2020, who waited a year to commemorate their Commencement.

For the undergraduate and graduate members of the class—who celebrated Saturday during both in-person experiences on campus and formal digital ceremonies online—the Commencement festivities represented an emotional milestone for an academic experience unlike any other in the College’s 102-year history.

“The Class of 2020 stands apart. You can claim that forever,” President Stephen Spinelli Jr. MBA’92, PhD told the graduates in his address. “You’ve thrived in a world turned upside down. If you can handle that, you can handle anything.”

During the in-person experiences, the undergraduate and graduate members heard their names read, crossed the stage, and posed for photos. During the digital ceremonies, they heard from student speakers Swathi Nachiappan ’20 and Cristian Leiva MBA’20, as well as Commencement speakers and honorary degree recipients Richelieu Dennis Jr. ’91, H’20, and Carla Harris H’20.

Watch the video highlights above for a sampling of the celebrations of the Class of 2020 and their incredible accomplishments as Babson students.
