Two Babson Alumni Named Tech Power Players

The Boston Globe has named two Babson College alumni to its inaugural Tech Power Players 50, a list featuring the top people influencing the technology industry in Massachusetts.

Making the list at No. 36 was Mike Massaro ’00, the CEO of Flywire, a global payments enablement and software company. Ranked at No. 50 was Mike Salguero MBA’10, founder and CEO of ButcherBox, a direct-to-consumer meat brand.

Globe business journalists and an external advisory committee ranked the list, which included people working in a wide range of fields, including artificial intelligence, robotics, venture capital, fintech, cybersecurity, health care, and software.

Massaro, who took Flywire public last year and also is an advisory board member at the accelerator MassChallenge, was named a Tech Power Player for his leadership in fintech and startup innovation. Salguero, whose company focuses on animal welfare and supporting farmers and fishermen, was cited for advancing consumer businesses, food, and sustainability.
