Babson’s Graduate School Earns Best in Class Award for Entrepreneurship

The F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College recently earned the 2026 Best in Class Award for Entrepreneurship from Poets & Quants.

Poets & Quants, a leading resource that covers undergraduate and graduate business education, cited Babson’s long-standing expertise and entrepreneurial ecosystem in its story announcing the recognition, including an interview with President Stephen Spinelli Jr. MBA’92, PhD.

“The recognition isn’t for any single program or ranking,” the site wrote. “It’s for an ecosystem that Spinelli, in his final year as president, is racing to prove can hold together as one coherent whole before he hands it to a successor.”

The article emphasizes Spinelli’s focus on institutionalizing at scale “the belief that entrepreneurial leadership isn’t a major, it’s a discipline that belongs everywhere, taught to everyone, in whatever setting people actually need it.”

A major part of that belief is the Arthur M. Blank School for Entrepreneurial Leadership, whose ambition Poets & Quants describes as a “single architecture broad enough to hold nearly every entry point into entrepreneurship the College offers, from a first-year business plan pitch to a mid-career executive dropping in for one workshop.”

“It is where the rubber meets the road in a curated environment,” Spinelli said in the article, in which he also emphasized the Babson model is built to serve a range of people, from undergraduate and graduate students to professionals and executives. “The future of higher education is going to be more dynamic in the next five years than it’s been in the last 50.”
