Angela Randolph Named Faculty Director of the Bertarelli Institute for Family Entrepreneurship

The Arthur M. Blank School for Entrepreneurial Leadership at Babson College has named Angela Randolph, associate professor of entrepreneurship, the new faculty director of the Bertarelli Institute for Family Entrepreneurship.

As faculty director, Randolph will help shape the institute’s academic and thought leadership initiatives while fostering meaningful engagement among students, faculty, alumni, and family business leaders. The role positions her to advance the Bertarelli Institute’s work supporting entrepreneurial families and strengthening Babson’s leadership in family entrepreneurship education.

Her excellence in the classroom also has been recognized by the Babson community. In 2024, Randolph received the College-Wide Teaching Award and was one of five faculty members selected for a Dean’s Award for Excellence in Teaching.

“I am honored to carry forward the legacy built by the Bertarelli Institute’s staff, faculty, mentors, students, and families,” Randolph said. “What excites me most about stepping into this role is the opportunity to collaborate with my colleagues to expand the institute’s reach, programs, and scholarship so that entrepreneurial families around the world benefit from what we do.”

Randolph’s research explores entrepreneurial cognition, entrepreneurial persistence, and the experiences of underrepresented and underestimated entrepreneurs. Her work examines how entrepreneurial aspirations develop and how entrepreneurs navigate the challenges and opportunities of venture creation.

“Angela’s leadership and expertise will advance the institute forward as she works with students, faculty, alumni, and family entrepreneurs,” said Donna Levin, CEO of the Blank School.

Randolph earned a PhD from the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University, an MBA from the College of William & Mary, and a bachelor of science in chemical engineering from the University of Virginia.
