Pua Higginson and Ashley Patterson Named MBAs to Watch

Listen

Two Babson College graduates—Pua Higginson MBA’22 and Ashley Patterson MBA’22—were named to Poets&Quants’ prestigious list of MBAs to Watch for the Class of 2022. Higginson and Patterson were two of the 76 women included among the 131 standout MBAs to keep an eye on.

Higginson, a Presidential Scholar who also served as co-president of Babson’s Out Network, now is working as an MBA Rotational Associate at Biogen, where she interned in 2021. In her Poets&Quants profile, she wrote: “I chose Babson because of its tight-knit community, diversity, and emphasis on entrepreneurialism and the global marketplace. I also knew that a smaller institution would allow closer collaboration with peers and professors. What I didn’t know was just how well Babson was going to be at adapting to the challenges brought on by the pandemic. I’m so grateful for this school and feel confident that I made the right decision.”

Patterson, a President’s MBA Scholar who interned at Agios Pharmaceuticals in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 2021, was incredibly active and influential on the Babson campus in a number of leadership roles. She was the co-president of the Babson Black Graduate Club with Alexander Oubré MBA’22, and served on a number of committees, including the Black Unity Summit Committee, Martin Luther King Legacy Day Committee, and Juneteenth Committee. In her Poets&Quants profile, she wrote: “Admittedly, collaborating with my learning group and being selected as a team from my cohort to pitch our product idea to Johnson & Johnson was a great academic achievement. However, I am most proud of the impact that I have made on the entire student body through enhancing the Babson experience by being a student leader in the multiple organizations and committees that emphasize diversity, equity, and inclusion.”
