Ready, Set, Make Your Mark at Babson’s Annual Giving Event, October 14–15

For 48 hours, the Babson College community will make its mark at its annual fundraising event.

Make Your Mark will be held from midnight to midnight, October 14 and 15, bringing the Babson community together—alumni, parents, students, faculty, staff, and friends—to support students and open doors for their success through scholarships, experiences, and more.

Gifts of any amount help power Babson’s continued excellence, and a variety of matching challenges provides additional opportunities to multiply the impact of each donation.

In one of the challenges, for the third year in a row, the Babson Alumni Advisory Board will be awarding four student scholarships ($5,000 each for two undergraduate and two graduate students) at a special Make Your Mark Celebration from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Thursday, October 15 at Babson Commons. Recipients will be chosen based on an assessment of their response to a prompt submitted in writing in person between 4:30 and 5:10 p.m., and recipients must be in attendance at the celebration.

Raneem Al Suwaidani ’28 was awarded one of the Make Your Mark Scholarships last year. “When my name was announced as one of the recipients of the scholarship, it was such a special moment,” she said. “I felt so proud. As a first-generation college student, I am so grateful that someone believed in me and wanted to invest in my education and future.”

A popular Babson tradition, Make Your Mark last year raised a total of $479,510 from 2,919 donors, including more than $200,000 for the areas of greatest need, and more than $50,000 for the Arthur M. Blank School for Entrepreneurial Leadership and its eight centers and institutes. The goal this year is to top 3,000 donors.

Their collective generosity strengthens every aspect of the Babson experience, from the opportunities we create to the campus and environment in which our students learn, grow, and thrive. It’s a powerful demonstration of what we can accomplish together and our shared commitment to developing the next generation of entrepreneurial leaders.”
