Peter Cohan, Thomas Davenport Honored as Top Retail Experts

Babson College professors Peter Cohan and Thomas Davenport have been recognized as Top Retail Experts by RETHINK Retail, which describes the distinction as one of the most prestigious global accolades in the retail and consumer packaged goods industry. 

Cohan now has been named a Top Retail Expert four consecutive years, while Davenport has been honored two years in a row. 

Cohan, associate professor of practice in the Management Division, is a prolific author who writes for Inc. and Forbes magazines and has written 16 books, including his most recent: Goliath Strikes Back: How Traditional Retailers Are Winning Back Customers from Ecommerce Startups (2020) 

Davenport, the President’s Distinguished Professor of Information Technology and Management, is an expert on artificial intelligence who has written or edited 20 books, including his most recent: All in on AI: How Smart Companies Win Big with Artificial Intelligence (2023). 

The honor from Rethink Retail is presented annually in several categories: Academia, Analysts, Associations, Consultants, Finance, Media, Real Estate, Specialists, and Technologists. Honorees represent the top thought leaders and market makers influencing the sector and are awarded based on the recommendations of various current members, committees, and corporations in the retail community.
