Two Babson Ventures Named Startups to Watch by BostInno

Listen

BostInno recently named two ventures founded by Babson alumni—High Time Foods and DetraPel—as startups to watch for 2023.

In all, BostInno spotlighted 23 Boston companies. “All of the companies BostInno highlighted this year have different goals, products, and team cultures,” the Boston-based business publication wrote, “but the common thread is that they are on the verge of breaking out.”

Co-founded by Aakash Shah MBA’22 and Damian Felchlin MBA’21, High Time Foods is a provider of shelf-stable, plant-based meat. BostInno reports that, in upcoming months, the company will focus on selling to Boston restaurants.

David Zamarin ’19 founded DetraPel, which sells nontoxic water and stain repellent treatments. According to BostInno, the company will announce a new $7 million Series A funding round soon.
