Patty Patria Named Babson’s New Chief Information Officer

Patty Patria has been named Babsons new chief information officer, providing strategic leadership for the planning and delivery of information technology and library services to support the Colleges strategic plan.

In her new role, Patria will oversee both Information Technology and Library Services, which includes network operations, IT Service Center (ITSC), cloud, infrastructure, data governance, support services, project management, academic technologies, enterprise applications, and information security.

Patria joins Babson from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, where she was the vice president for information technology and chief information officer (CIO), responsible for overseeing WPIs four-year Enterprise Transformation Project. That included the implementation of Workday HCM, Finance and Student, building a data analytics infrastructure, moving legacy applications to the cloud, and managing the business operations efforts during the pandemic.

Previously, Patria served as the vice president for information technology and CIO at Becker College, responsible for strategic leadership and management of numerous key initiatives, including co-chairing NECHE accreditation, transforming Becker’s technology infrastructure, and managing the colleges libraries. She also worked at Bentley University for 10 years in several roles, including chief information security administrator.

Patria earned her MBA from Suffolk University and holds several certifications, including Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), and Prosci Change Management Professional.
