“To win the NEWMAC Presidents Cup for the third year in a row is a tremendous accomplishment,” said Mike Lynch, Babson College Pamela P. and Brian M. Barefoot Associate Vice President for Athletics and Athletics Advancement. “Our student-athletes, coaches, and staff work tirelessly to make sure we are competing at the highest level, and this achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone in our department. I’m proud of the success we had this season and earning this award is a great honor.”

Babson’s men’s teams won three conference tournament championships and two regular-season titles, and captured top-four finishes in six of eight sports to secure first place in the standings, which are determined using a weighted points system based on the order of finish during both the regular season and championship play. Babson finished with 9.21 points to top second-place MIT (8.95) and third-place Springfield College (8.91).

“At Babson, we are proud of our committed student-athletes and the many contributions they make to our campus community on the playing field and in the classroom,” said Babson President Stephen Spinelli Jr. MBA’92, PhD, chair of the NEWMAC Presidents Council. “Each member of our athletics program—from our passionate student-athletes to our dedicated training staff and coaches—plays an important role in upholding and advancing Babson’s reputation across the country and around the world. I am thankful for their leadership and the example they set for student-athletes everywhere.”
