Unscripted Moment: Classroom Reflection

Photo taken through glass of a professor and students
Listen

The Babson College campus is packed with memorable and unexpected moments, which we love to capture and share. In this occasional series, Unscripted Moment, our staff photographer Nic Czarnecki and others share the story behind a recent favorite photo.

I was running between assignments and carrying all my gear into Olin Hall. As I was setting up and as I walked past the Design Zone, I noticed a class going on. At one point, the class was let out and I noticed a large number of students stayed behind to speak with the professor.

I watched as he stayed at least 20 minutes behind to patiently answer the questions of all of the students. After all the students left, I approached him for a quick chat. He is Assistant Professor of Practice Bill Pacheco, and the class is Design Thinking and the Opportunity Frontier. He said the graduate class helps students “how to think like a designer and build a business.”

It was such a great moment seeing how interested the students were in finding guidance and advice from their professor. I specifically shot through the glass of the classroom to capture the effects of the reflections.
