This year marks the 20th anniversary of WiM, founded by Ade Onilude, to recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of women in the marketing discipline.

“The contemporary complexities and pace of change in our world require rapid development of new knowledge, innovative marketing approaches, and stellar training of versatile and empathetic marketers,” Cross said, highlighting the need for innovative marketing education to tackle today’s challenges. “We champion this premise in our work as marketing academics, and our presence as co-hosts in the University of Westminster is a powerful testament to WiM’s commitment to promoting the mutually enriching collaborations between different facets of our discipline.”

Babson College’s Frank & Eileen Center™ for Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership and Babson’s Office of Campus & Community Events sponsored the Marketing Scientist Award, an homage to the link between the marketing academy and practice. The award was presented by Sadie Burton-Goss, the chief diversity and inclusion officer at Babson.

The awards also highlighted outstanding achievements in the field, with Jaguar Land Rover receiving the 2024 Women in Marketing Company of the Year Award, and Yaa Boateng, managing director and chief creative officer at The Storytellers, being honored with the Creative Marketer of the Year Award.
