Babson Rated a Five-Star Best College by Money Magazine for the Third Year in a Row

For the third year in a row, Babson College has been rated one of the top colleges in the United States by Money magazine, earning a five-star rating on its 2026 list of Best Colleges.

Babson ranked as one of only 42 colleges—among the analysis of more than 700 schools—to be rated five stars for scoring exceptionally high on most of its metrics, including quality of education, affordability, and especially outcomes. In its story, Money singled out Babson as being “known for business education and strong career earnings.”

“Babson performs extremely well in Money’s evaluation of student outcomes,” Money magazine writes in its profile of Babson. “Grads tend to stand out in the job market, with early-career earnings nearing $120,000. That’s high even compared to other schools that produce a lot of business majors. The list of ventures started by alums is impressive, including brands like Gerber, Home Depot and Zumba Fitness.”

The Money magazine rating is the latest accolade emphasizing the increasing value of a degree from Babson College. Last year, The Wall Street Journal ranked Babson the No. 2 Best College in the United States for the second year in a row, praising the College for its impact on graduates’ career performance.

Money’s ratings system considers a host of data-driven factors, including graduation rates, peer quality, instructor access, net price of a degree, student debt, earnings 10 years after college entry, employment outcomes, and value-added earnings.

“We evaluate colleges on measures tied to value: how much students pay, how many graduate, how much debt they take on and what they earn after leaving school,” the magazine’s story explained. “Overall, we weighed 25 data points to create this year’s list, with the affordability measures carrying the heaviest weight.”
