Babson Collaborative Global Summit Advances Entrepreneurship Education Best Practices Around the World
Educators from 23 countries and 28 member institutions around the world came together in Mumbai, India, for the 2024 Babson Collaborative Global Summit to unite, learn, and share an array of entrepreneurship education methods and perspectives.
Hosted at the Collaborative member institution ATLAS SkillTech University in February, the four-day summit gave educators the opportunity to share best practices in pedagogy and advance thought leadership in the world of entrepreneurial education.

With interactive, engaging events and sessions covering topics such as frugal innovations for solving large problems, using games in entrepreneurship education, and street entrepreneurship, the summit provided the platform for educators to exchange ideas, learn from each other and contribute to advancing entrepreneurship education globally. Additionally, those who participated first enjoyed a day filled with programming that immersed them in the rich culture around Mumbai and India. Attendees heard from and connected with leaders from Babson Academy, including Amir Reza, PhD, dean of Babson Academy and Global Education, and Heidi Neck, PhD, the Jeffry A. Timmons Professor of Entrepreneurship and academic director of Babson Academy, as well as leaders from ATLAS SkillTech University, including Founding President & Chancellor, Dr. Indu Shahani.
“The summit provided a great platform to exchange ideas on developing Entrepreneurship Education Ecosystem and to collaborate on different projects across a broad spectrum,” said Audil Rashid Khaki, associate professor and dean at the American University of the Middle East, Kuwait. “It was great to know the best practices in entrepreneurship education, student engagement, and community impact from peers across the globe, which enriched the experience and furthered the horizons of imagination and possibility in our local entrepreneurship ecosystems.”
In the past year, the Collaborative welcomed six new member institutions, including Bennett University in India, Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) in Dominican Republic, Link School of Business in Brazil, MCI The Entrepreneurial School in Austria, Superior University in Pakistan, and Ulster University in Northern Ireland. The organization currently comprises 41 member institutions in 30 countries.
