Babson Students Plan March and Rally to Support Ukraine

Listen

Babson College students—organized by Liliia Alieksanova ’25, a Global Scholar and native of Ukraine—will lead a march and rally in support of Ukraine and in solidarity with the Ukrainian community.

The rally will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Babson World Globe. All students, faculty, and staff are invited to participate. The march will proceed up College Drive to Olin Hall, back down College Drive, and conclude at Park Manor Quad for comments by student leaders.

The Babson community held a virtual campus-wide Peace Circle on March 1 to offer comfort, hope, and peace for students, faculty, and staff. The College network also has been activated to provide support for the community. The Glavin Office of International Education has communicated with Ukrainian and Russian students to show support and remind them of the services available to them on campus. Counseling and Psychological Services is available to all students who may need resources during this difficult time.

Following spring break, Babson faculty will host a Ukraine and Russia Teach-in on March 23 in the FME Amphitheater. Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to attend and share their questions and thoughts among Babson’s learning community.
