Jerry Epps Earns Honors for Supplier Diversity Leadership

Jerry Epps, Babson College’s first director of vendor diversity, has received a pair of prestigious recognitions this month for his work and leadership in supplier diversity.

DiversityPlus Magazine named Epps one of its 2023 Top 25 Diversity Change Leaders. The honorees were “selected for their innovative strategies and relentless effort to make diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) a standard way of operating in organizations worldwide.” Epps was included among diversity leaders from a wide swath of industries, including organizations such as Boston Scientific, Coca-Cola, JPMorgan Chase & Co., Target, and Wells Fargo.

Epps also was named one of four 2023 Shining Star Award Recipients by the Greater New England Minority Supplier Development Council (GNEMSDC). Epps will be honored at a luncheon and award ceremony October 5 at the annual GNEMSDC Business Opportunity Conference in Providence, Rhode Island.

“I am honored to be accepting these two awards for One Babson,” Epps said. “The recognition gives our College regional, national, and global exposure to the supplier diversity community. This also helps us in advancing our DEI initiatives to a competitive advantage.”

Epps joined Babson in August 2021 and has created and developed the College’s Office of Vendor Diversity and its supplier diversity program.
