Babson Collaborative’s Growth Among Highlights of Babson Academy Impact Report

Listen

The Babson Collaborative for Entrepreneurship Education reached new heights last year with a record number of members, according to the recently released 2022 Impact Report of The Babson Academy for the Advancement of Global Entrepreneurial Learning.

The Babson Collaborative—for which Babson Academy was honored with the 2022 IIE Andrew Heiskell Award for Innovation in International Education—gained a record 10 new members, bringing the total to 42 members from 26 countries.

The collaborative’s growth and success was just one of many highlights in the impact report that demonstrated the impact of Babson Academy, now in its fourth year of bringing together educators, institutions, and their students to advance entrepreneurship education on a global scale. In 2022, Babson Academy helped institutions find shared purpose through entrepreneurship education in 23 custom programs and 27 open-enrollment programs reaching 262 educators in 43 countries—and benefiting thousands of learners. “Babson Academy made enormous strides in 2022, including expanding collaborations throughout East Asia and empowering higher education leaders in Romania,” said Amir Reza, dean of Babson Academy. “The achievements of our members inspire us in our common goal of creating a community of entrepreneurial leaders who are responsible global citizens.”

In 2022, Babson Academy also deepened existing partnerships and added new ones, including the launch of the Studio for Entrepreneurship Educators – Asia, which brought together educators from seven universities across Brunei, China, Indonesia, Japan, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand to learn how to cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset within their students using action-based teaching pedagogies.

In its 36th year, the Price-Babson Symposium for Entrepreneurship Educators convened in May for a five-day, in-person symposium. Each year, the symposium impacts about 78,000 students across more than 32 countries.
