Invest in Babson Athletics During the 12th Annual Barefoot Athletics Challenge

One of Babson’s most popular traditions returns as the 12th annual Barefoot Athletics Challenge starts March 3-5.

The Barefoot Athletics Challenge encourages alumni athletes, parents of current student-athletes, and Babson superfans to support the College’s athletics program and student-athletes. The funds raised will directly impact Babson’s student-athletes and the 23 varsity programs by providing for team travel, new training equipment and technology, assistant coach positions, leadership development, and mental health resources for student-athletes.

The theme this year is “Invest in Babson Athletics.” Donations through the Barefoot Athletics Challenge have helped spur Babson Athletics to incredible heights. Since the challenge started in the 2013–2014 season, Babson has earned 97 national tournament appearances, 39 team conference championships, four final four appearances, and two national championships.

INVEST IN BABSON ATHLETICS: Make a gift to support the Barefoot Athletics Challenge, March 3–5.

The Barefoot Athletics Challenge—initially funded by former Babson President Brian Barefoot ’66, H’09, P’01 and Pamela Barefoot P’01—is the biggest single fundraiser for Babson Athletics. To date, it has raised more than $1.7 million in contributions from more than 15,000 Babson alumni, family, and friends. Last year, 2,048 donors contributed $309,334.

During the challenge, the men’s and women’s athletics teams—which include about one-quarter of the College’s undergraduate population—compete to “Beat Our Best” to help unlock $12,000 in challenge funds, and the team with the highest percentage increase over their best donor count from prior years will receive an additional $6,000 in challenge funds.
