Babson’s Centennial Campaign Passes $500 Million Mark and Sets New Fundraising Goal

Listen

Babson College has passed the $500 million mark in its landmark Centennial Campaign, and it now has its sights set on an even more ambitious fundraising target.

Launched in 2016 in anticipation of the College’s 100th anniversary in 2019, the ongoing Centennial Campaign is the most successful in Babson’s history and has had far-reaching effects on the institution

That investment is already proving to have a lasting impact on the way that we educate the next generation of entrepreneurial leaders,” says Babson President Stephen Spinelli Jr. MBA’92, PhD. “The campaign has touched all areas of campus, from curriculum development and student life, to scholarships and endowed chairs, to facilities improvements and an enhanced endowment.”

The Centennial Campaign was launched with an initial goal of raising $300 million. Once that milestone was surpassed, the campaign set a new target of raising $500 million, which, in turn, also has been achieved. “Our community has repeatedly met and exceeded fundraising goals,” Spinelli says. The campaign has proven that the Babson community is committed and connected.”

Now, the College is boosting the campaign’s goal once again, seeking to raise an additional $250 million. This extension of the campaign will be known as Babson ELevates, a nod to the school’s mission of educating entrepreneurial leaders seeking to make an impact around the world.

“By elevating our campaign goal to a total of $750 million,” Spinelli says, “Babson will cement our position as the global leader of entrepreneurship and business education.”
