LinkedIn Ranks Babson No. 1 for Entrepreneurship for Second Straight Year

Babson College once again has been ranked as the top school for entrepreneurship.

For the second year in a row, LinkedIn named Babson the No. 1 school for the largest share of alumni who are founders and entrepreneurs in its Top Colleges rankings. MIT, Stanford, Harvard, and Princeton rounded out the top five.

“Despite its small size, Babson (No. 1) punches well above its weight: every first-year student takes a yearlong course where they build and run an actual venture,” LinkedIn wrote in its assessment, citing the College’s signature Foundations of Management and Entrepreneurship (FME) course. 

Babson also ranked No. 3 for alumni network strength and No. 13 overall in LinkedIn’s second annual ranking of the 50 best colleges for long-term career success. It’s the second year in a row that Babson landed in the top three for alumni network strength, joining Washington and Lee University and Dartmouth College. Babson was cited for embedding networking into the degree experience and for Babson Connect Worldwide, which “brings its entrepreneurial alumni community together every year.” 

In the overall rankings, Babson was ranked in the company of seven Ivy League colleges, along with schools such as Duke and Stanford. Princeton was ranked No. 1 for the second year in a row. Babson also was one of seven Massachusetts schools to be included in the list of top 50 colleges, behind only Harvard and MIT.

These recognitions from LinkedIn are a testament to the connectedness and strength of our alumni and our community of thought leaders who support them.”

The latest LinkedIn ranking continues Babson’s supremacy in entrepreneurship education. For 29 consecutive times, Babson has been ranked the No. 1 undergraduate school for entrepreneurship by U.S. News & World Report.
