Future Nobel Laureates Scholarship Program Selects Bidhi Mandal ’24
Bidhi Mandal ‘24 was selected for the prestigious Future Nobel Laureates Scholarship Program. Only 10 students from around the world are chosen for the fully funded program, which was launched in a “belief that in order to change the world you need to experience it.”
In the fall, Mandal and the other Future Nobel Laureates students will participate in an online project-based course in intercultural communication. Then, in December, they will travel to Sweden for the 2023 Nobel Week Dialogue, an event bringing together leading policymakers, scientists, and thinkers.
“I am deeply honored to have been selected as a participant in the Future Nobel Laureates Scholarship Program, representing students worldwide,” Mandal said.
A Global Scholar and Glavin Global Fellow at Babson, Mandal already has taken advantage of varied global learning opportunities thanks to her work and studies.
She has participated in a Babson education abroad course in Italy focused on democracy, imperialism, and human rights; studied innovation in France as part of the Toulouse Business School Entrepreneurial Exchange week; earned a travel grant to return to her native Nepal to work on a community project she’s doing as a Taylor Scholar; and has taught entrepreneurship virtually to youth in Tanzania and Kenya, with plans to travel to Tanzania this January to teach in-person through Babson’s Youth Entrepreneurship Program.
In the Future Nobel Laureates program, Mandal is particularly excited about traveling to Sweden and engaging with attendees at Nobel Week Dialogue. “I can showcase the entrepreneurial skills I have learned at Babson on a global stage,” she says.
