Amir Reza Elected President of Association of International Education Administrators
Amir Reza—dean of Babson Academy for the Advancement of Global Entrepreneurial Learning and dean of global education at Babson College—has been elected the new president of the Association of International Education Administrators (AIEA). Reza, who began his term last month, will serve in his position for three years and support AIEA’s mission to equip leaders to shape the future of higher education in a global context.
Rooted in values including ethical and innovative leadership, equity, inclusive excellence, curiosity, and respect, AIEA works with members and institutions such as Babson that believe in the free exchange of ideas through dialogue and collaboration. Last month, Reza and other members attended the AIEA Annual Conference in Washington, D.C., where international education leaders engaged in more than 100 sessions and roundtable discussions, workshops, and keynote talks on trends influencing the future of the field.
“AIEA’s global and inclusive mission resonates with me personally and professionally,” said Reza. “I am honored to be elected by my peers to serve in this capacity, and excited to learn and grow with AIEA as we commit ourselves to create access and envision new paradigms in international education.”
As dean of global education at Babson, Reza has helped steer the College as a leader in international education. Babson has been recognized by Forbes as the best school for international students in the United States, and by the Senator Paul Simon Comprehensive Internationalization Award. Also, Babson recently received a 2022 IIE Andrew Heiskell Award for Innovation in International Education in the category of Strategic Partnerships for the Babson Collaborative for Entrepreneurship Education.
