Unscripted Moment: Sphere Perspective

A group is seen working a project from a distance

The Babson College campus is packed with memorable and unexpected moments, which we love to capture and share. In this occasional series, Unscripted Moment, our staff photographer Nic Czarnecki and others share the story behind a recent favorite photo.

I was covering the Entrepreneurial Family open enrollment program recently on campus. The program, which is part of the Babson Professional and Executive Education offerings, helps families build connections across generations as parents and teenagers develop an entrepreneurial mindset.

This was a product design group project held in the Weissman Foundry, and I was looking for an interesting angle to shoot the class because I have shot there multiple times in the past. I saw this cool sphere that was built in the Foundry, and I stuck my camera in it to see what the photo would come out like. I loved it and shot multiple photos to get the framing right.
