Rolling Cloud

Rolling Cloud by Christie Scheele. Oil on linen, 46 inches high x 68 inches. Gold says, “Christie Scheele works exclusively with oil on linen. She doesn’t paint landscape, per se, but tries to capture the atmosphere. Her work is simple, as her project involves reducing a scene to its essentials. In painting this way, viewers are inspired to build their own narrative when contemplating her work. A common response when people come in to the gallery and see one of Christie’s paintings is, ‘This reminds me of ….’ There is an instant connection when looking at her work.” © Christie Scheele Courtesy of Gold Gallery
