Ryan Heavey (in yellow) emails, “I’ve been playing defense for the Corsaires, a professional ice hockey team based in Dunkirk, France. Unfortunately, I don’t speak French, so at times communication has been difficult. However, our coach speaks French and English, as do many on my team. It’s been cool learning French customs and immersing myself in the culture. Some of the best traditions are chocolate croissants for breakfast and three-course meals for lunch and dinner.
